The Global Development Institute (GDI) is the UK's largest university-based postgraduate centre specialising in global development.

A truly multinational environment to study in, every year hundreds of students choose GDI for their postgraduate specialisation, coming from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Benefit from an approach to teaching and learning which draws upon our internationally recognised research activity.

Our field trips augment classroom-based learning by providing opportunities to visit organisations and people in applied settings.

Over the years the we have developed a reputation for our facilities and the way we support for our students.

Hear from the people who really know what it's like to study at the GDI.
